This piece was created as a quiet, atmospheric jungle swamp scene, centered around a lone Space Marine being dropped into the area by a hovering Thunderhawk above. I designed the environment to feel lush, humid, and strangely untouched, with dense foliage, still water, soft mist, and natural overgrowth surrounding the landing zone. While the moment appears calm at first, the composition and lighting were built to create a subtle sense of unease, as if the silence is hiding something dangerous. The contrast between the peaceful landscape, the heavy military presence, and the lone figure entering the unknown was used to build tension and suggest that something about this place is not quite right.
